26 November:

  • A seminar on stereotyped depiction of violence against women in the Egyptian Drama
  • Screening of “Al-Kwafeera” (The Hairstylist) movie
  • Self-defense against violence workshop for girls with Nut initiative in Al-Mansoura
  • An art exhibition “Women and Art” (poetry recitation, singing, and musical performance) with Dthat initiative in Abu Seir

27 November:

  • A seminar on definitions and forms of violence, and the role of the state combating violence, with Tanees Association for Social Services, and City Council of Port Fouad.

28 November:

  • Screening of “El-Shok” (The Longing) movie with Nabd initiative at Port Said
  • A seminar on girls’ right to education.  in Port Said
  • Screening of “Wi Bass” (Just That) followed by a discussion from a feminist perspective, with Lawyers union in Port Said
  • Discussion of Gustave Flaubert’s Madame Bovary novel, with Hayye Al-Arab public library in Port Said

  • Seminar on the history of feminist movements in Egypt, and worldwide, to end violence against women, with Tanees Association for

  • A theater performance on violence against women in Alexandria

6 December:

  • Launching guide to local action mechanisms employed to eliminate violence against women

7 December:

  • Discussion of the films “Istiqalet A’alemat Tharra” (The Resignation of a Female Atomic Scientist) and “Al-E’eish Al-Hadie’e” (The Quiet Nest) and The state’s role in empowering Women to achieve their goals, and providing equal opportunities with Tanees Association for Social Services, and Port Fouad City Council
  • Discussion of violence against women with Al-Qahwa “(he coffeehouse) initiative in Bani Suif

8 December:

  • Film on local reproductive health services and gender-based violence, with Al-Amirya District Initiative

9 December:

  • New women Foundation’s seminar in Cairo
