New Woman organizes a workshop for women from unions in Upper Egypt

New Women Foundation organized a workshop in Luxor for unionized labor women in different areas of a number of provinces in the south of from 20 November  to 22. The workshop included a number of sessions related to the issue of wages and social allowances , presented by Elhami ElMarghani the economic researcher.

The workshop including the forms of violence and discrimination and stereotyping that women face in the work and also included a number of capacity-building trainings and negotiation skills and the inclusion of women’s issues in the committees of activity association and the unionized women form working groups and the application of simulation models on the issues of equality in wages and requiring employers to provide Nurseries for their children. This workshop is the Fifth after organized in the provinces of Port Said, Alexandria and Cairo and Al-Gharbia.
