On May 19 20 16, NWF organized a group discussion with several women and men members in the trade unions of nursing.  The purpose of the meeting was to examine the draft law regulating the practice of nursing that was disseminated in the media.  Participants proposed some to the draft law:

  • The elaboration of specific criteria and rules about the conditions of health fitness required by applicants and mentioned in Article 2 of the draft lawin order to obtain the necessary authorizations to practice the profession of nursing.
  • The elaboration of specific criteria regarding promotions and the programs of professional training and .
  •  Participants recommended in addition that the trade union of nursing organizes group discussions for the members of the general assembly in order to involve them in the discussion of the draft law and initiate them to the new recommendations formulated during the group discussion, and specifically that concerning the structure of the National Council of Nursing, its mandate and authorities.  They considered that it should take place through a wide societal debate between the concerned governmental bodies, parliamentarians, representatives of the Civil Society and of trade unions.
